hometown highlight: baked, charleston

i'm sure a lot of you have heard about this place and may have even been there before. a few years back oprah listed baked's sweet and salty brownies as one of here "favorite things". at that time they only had a bakery in brooklyn, ny, now they have one here in charleston as well. let me tell you, that sweet and salty brownie is TO DIE FOR. the hype around it is so true and i am currently trying to figure out how i can go get one after work :) the mr. and i have given these as hostess gifts and they never dissapoint! you can currently order the brownie mix on the baked website or williams sonoma is currently selling the mixes! it's def worth the treck down to east bay street!

early birthday!

i just received my first birthday present! growing up i tried to convince my parents to let us celebrate our birthdays all month long, didn't quite work. but i think i can more than likely convince the mr., i mean he will have the whole month of april.


i work as a nanny, for an absolutely great family. they gave me my bday present early. i guess i should tell you i already knew what it was going to be because well, she wanted to make sure i liked them before she bought them. but i mean come on, how could i not like these?

these will definitely be making an appearance in asheville. especially considering they are calling for snow!

back to life, for the time being

its monday. and not just monday, but the monday after the holiday season. so therefor, this monday is one of a kind. but i'm not going to go on and on about how badly i wish i was in my comfy bed, with my comfy pillow and my super soft p.j.'s. instead i am going to focus on the things i have to look forward to this month! i will be making my way to asheville, nc this month with the mr.'s mom, sister and grandmother. we will be staying at the lovely grove park inn and shopping and i'm sure eating our weekend away :) i can't wait for cozy layers, jackets and boots!
