easter weekend

"I do not mind telling you that within me I find the Easter message and the reality of the Resurrection more beautiful and glorious than the Christmas scene. Christmas tells us that Jesus was born; that He was born for the humiliation of suffering and death and atonement. But Easter is the radiant and glory-filled celebration of Christ's mighty triumph over the grave and death and hell! When Easter comes, our voices are raised in the triumphant chorus: The three sad days had quickly sped; He rises glorious from the dead! There is the real beauty! This is more than the beauty of color; more than the beauty of outline or form; more than the beauty of physical proportion. In the living Christ is the perfection of all beauty; and because He lives, we too shall live in the presence of His beauty and the beauties of heaven, forever!" - A.W. Tozer

 normally i don't use this blog to express my religious views but sometimes it's nice to share with people experiences and grace and love when its constantly surrounding you. it is an unimaginable and crazy exciting thing to feel God move around you and that is exactly what is happening around here. i am so blessed to be in a church who knows and shares the promise of salvation so well. so please, when you are out this weekend or with family take the time to let it all soak in.

if you are in the charleston area  and would love to find out what it is God has promised us through His son Jesus, check out this place out.

casual italian and a walk in the park

this is going to be my first real attempt at an outfit post. i wore this the other night when the mr. took me out for our half-year. all i was told was to dress "casual cute" the mr. also told me to wear flat shoes.....well yeah no. i asked enough questions and came to the conclusion on my own that he was just being careful and i opted to wear wedges instead :) he took me to a nice little italian restaurant for dinner and we got our tiramisu to go ......we ate it at the mt. pleasant pier. that also happens to be that place we got engaged. for the record, the wedges were fine, and won't be making an appearance in this post because my jeans were far to long.

{tank: target, cropped jacket: target, jeans: gap, earrings: forever 21}

hope you enjoyed this first attempt!
